This book closely analyzes typological characteristics of school buildings in Serbia, as well as the options for their energy efficiency improvement. The inventory, which included a significant number of school buildings, the creation of a database and the subsequent analysis, formed a typology based on the established matrix defining four characteristic periods of construction, that is, three typical sizes of school buildings. The collected data provided a detailed analysis of the school buildings in Serbia in relation to the relevant parameters defined by the survey questionnaire, based on which the characteristic types and selected representative models of real buildings were determined, on whom the possibilities and scope of the envisaged improvement sets were examined. The collection of data sets is carefully analyzed and presented in a book so that the reader can easily see the quality of existing school buildings, and to understand the nature of proposed measures of improvement and achieved savings at the level of individual areas of activity, as well as their mutual combination. It should be emphasized in particular that the way in which the achieved savings are shown is in line with the current practice of expressing energy consumption, including the issue of carbon dioxide emissions.
