National Typology of Residential Buildings of Serbia is the third, final book dedicated to the research of the building stock of Serbia from the aspect of its energy features. It follows the publication of the Atlas of Family Housing in Serbia and the Atlas of Multifamily Housing in Serbia. After three years of field work and research, a group of professors and associates of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade, has classified the Serbian housing stock in accordance with the principles of the IEE Project TABULA, while respecting the specific circumstances of architectural and urban development of Serbia. The benefits of forming the national building typology are manifold: it helps develop strategies and models for improvement of residential buildings in terms of their energy efficiency and points to the possibility of energy savings and reduction of CO2 emissions through the process of their rehabilitation.
