Project implementation period: 2016-2018

EmBuild Project is envisioned as a support project which empowers local public authorities in developing long term public buildings renovation strategies. Aim of the project is development of 100 renovation strategies in six countries participating in the project (Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia). Project is funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. As in Serbia, the only non EU member state participant, local authorities yet do not have an obligation to publish local renovation strategies, exemplary strategies for several typical local self-governments, based on their size and energy management system, will be developed. Also, it is expected that the work on these exemplary strategies will improve the future National renovation strategy of Serbia.
