On Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, a regional conference was held by the Knowledge Hub for Energy Efficiency with the topic "Improving Energy Efficiency in Buildings". This event gathered the representatives of local governments, who are in charge of investments and energy efficiency, energy managers, as well as representatives of primary and secondary schools in Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

At this gathering, new mechanisms of financing and implementation of energy efficiency measures and sustainable energy sources, as well as examples of good practice of public buildings of Vojvodina were presented to the participants. Partners and contributors of the project "Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings" talked about improvement of the regulatory framework in the field of energy efficiency, developing tools for analyzing investment costs in school refurbishment, training of preschool teachers and staff in schools and kindergartens, strengthening the capacity of local self-government units in the field of energy efficiency in building sector, functioning of the Knowledge Hub for Energy Efficiency and other activities realized within this project.

The Regional conference in Novi Sad was organized by the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade, supported by the German-Serbian cooperation project "Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings", implemented by GIZ in cooperation with the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia. Support to the realization of this event was provided by the Provincial Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Transport of Autonomous Province Vojvodina.
